Nineteen swimmers from the COMAST Beacon squad travelled to Germany to compete in the Berlin International Swim Meet. The meet was spread over three days with heats in the morning, afternoon and then finals in the evening. COMAST have supported the competition for the past few years as it provides a great opportunity to race fast in a different environment as well as providing good preparation for future targeted meets. For the nineteen swimmers, it helps their ongoing development towards become seniors through improving how they manage themselves at such a meet plus improving their arena competition skills.
It was more special on this occasion as many of the swimmers hadn’t raced outside the UK before. The results over the three days were excellent with everyone either setting best times or long course season best swims.
